Lures
Mackeral feathers are always useful especially now as the mackeral is appearing in greater numbers.
The ever popular jelly worm continues to work its charm this month with colours matching those that were affective during May.
For cod fishing, the most affective lure so far has been the small Hokki trace, usually without bait being needed.
Again for pollack the flowing trace, especially when wreck fishing, has been the most affective.

Bait
The mackeral have returned to Scrabster, and as ever, fresh is better than frozen. Small sandeels have also proved affective.

Lures
Fire tails and jelly worms are the lure of choice at the moment. The colours that have been working best for the jelly worms are bright to neon; green, red, pink and yellow. Flowing traces for pollack, working on the retrieve have also been affective.

Bait
Frozen mackeral, mussel, ragworm and squid have been working well
